HW for Wed., 7/20

1. Type a rough draft of Essay 2 conclusion paragraph and upload to Blackboard, Unit 2: 

• The draft should be 8-10 sentences, focusing on using ideas from the blog post on Conclusions.
• Make sure you format your draft correctly, using double space and 12-point standard font
• Make sure you upload your work as a Word (.doc) file. Save as .doc or .docx. Otherwise, the program will not allow me to critique it using editing tools (and you won't get as much direct feedback).
• No first person usage in sentences
• Refer to Coates' argument as it relates to the larger world. Compare and contrast his views with others....

2. Read pages 273-312 (Ch. 8) of Practical Argument.   

• Finding and Evaluating Sources  (we've covered this to an extent, and we will cover it more in the coming weeks)

Review, too, pages 113-147 of Practical Argument

• Understanding Logic and Recognizing Logical Fallacies (we will focus on this lesson the rest of this week)
